August August "Gus" Depre
(June 15, 1929 - March 18, 2012)

Depre, August "Gus" of St. Charles, Michigan, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Covenant Medical Center - Cooper in Saginaw. Age 82 years. Gus was born June 15, 1929 in Dearborn to Jerome and Philomenam (Lievene) Depre. He married Joyce Anderson on June 13, 1953. She survives him. Gus was a member of St. Charles Masonic Lodge #313, Shriners, and the UAW Local 699. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. Gus was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing, pheasant hunting, bird watching, and lawn gardening. He retired as an inspector from Plant 6 after 35 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce and their daughters, Lisa Depre and Kimberly Depre; a grandson, Jesse Depre; sister, Lois Wenzel; several nieces and nephews and cousins Thomas and Phyllis Patterson, Marjorie DeBolt and grandcousin Deanna DeBolt. He was preceded by his mother, father and step mother, Caroline Cooper and two aunts, Julie Patterson and Laura Golbert.

A special thank you to American Hospice, Visiting Physicians, Dr. Burch & staff, Covenant Nurses, and Drs. Lee and Patel for their care they gave to Gus.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Ernesto Mariona will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A Masonic Service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Masonic Scholarship Fund or St. Charles United Methodist Church.
